Is There Pain with Macular Degeneration

Age Related Macular Degeneration is a relatively pain free disease that gradually destroys sharp, central vision. It is usually associated with aging. While AMD can affect seeing objects clearly for daily tasks such as driving and reading, because the advancement of the disease is so gradual, some people do not notice a change in their vision and may want to know how to stop macular degeneration. In more severe cases, it can cause a loss of vision in one or both eyes. This eye disease is the number one cause for vision loss in Americans over the age of 60 and the symptoms of macular degeneration can be very subtle at first.
