Advanced ARMD Stages Slowed with Supplements
The study was conducted over more than 3500 people and they were observed for an average of 6.3 years. The results showed that high levels of antioxidants and zinc could reduce the chances of developing ARMD by as much as 25 percent. Once the advanced stage has been reached, however, these factors do not improve the condition, but intermediate stage ARMD as well people who had ARMD in only one eye were much less susceptible to the progression of the disorder. Eyes left untreated progress more quickly than individuals with a good treatment for macular degeneration.
